准备煮饭时发现米里长有米象，呈卵圆形，身体为红褐色，背部甲上无光泽或光泽较暗。虫头小，外观与象鼻神似。观察发现大部分米象能在淘米时洗掉，但偶尔会有残留，影响食欲。将长米象的米拿到太阳下晒或晾均能赶走，但被蛀过的米偏黄、偏暗，影响外观，饭味变淡。调查发现常用的方法有冷冻、花椒、大蒜储藏法三种，实验证明均能抑制米象生长，但只有花椒、大蒜储藏法不改变口感。建议这样保存大米。做到：珍惜粮食，珍爱生命。
